  • Vintage report: The growth cycle during the 2009 developed in favourable conditions and assured an optimal evolution of the vine through the year, a perfect ripening process and excellent sanitary conditions of the grapes. Due to the low rainfall during the summer months we obtained a high quality vintage. The month of September was very important for the ripening, due to the contrast between warm days and cold nights, ensuring full varietal typicity and concentration. The 400 ml rainfall was optimally spread during the months of the growth cycle. The resulting must was balanced in alcoholic grade, acidity and colour.
  • Tasting notes: Richly coloured, deep black cherry hue with violet rims. Excellent combination of red berries like wild strawberries and raspberries with undertones of sweet liquorice. The palate is full-bodied and luscious with velvety texture. Great wellbalanced acidity together with silky tannins trigger warm velvety mouth feel. Exceptionally elegant wine, full of freshness and great complexity
  • Serving suggestions: Temperature 17-18ºC and decanting before serving is highly recommended
  • Food matching: Beef Sirloin Steak with Baby Spinach, Beef Capaccio with Parmesan cheese.
